YWCA Central Alabama has paid AmeriCorps service positions available with an immediate need to fill.   All positions are 40+ hours per week, based in Jefferson or Shelby County and serving Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Some evening or weekend service might be required. A passion for meaningful service and commitment to one year of service is required. Men and women are encouraged to apply. A bachelor’s degree is required for most positions. Extensive background checks are performed on members.
