Jones Valley Teaching Farm (JVTF) has called one city block in downtown Birmingham home since 2007. As a demonstration site, the Downtown Campus attracts hundreds of visitors and supporters annually. The site is often bustling, and serves as a focal point and demonstration site for our organization, as well as a central resource hub for our school farm sites. This year will mark an important step in the next phase of growth for Jones Valley Teaching Farm as the organization embarks on a capital campaign with a goal of expanding programing through the purchase of the downtown campus and the development of a Center for Food Education.
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Campaign Associate will support the Campaign Counsel in the coordination and performance of day-to-day administrative and operations duties essential to the campaign plan success. Regular responsibilities include campaign communications and the development of campaign materials, volunteer coordination, meeting and event facilitation, research, record keeping, reporting, and gift acknowledgement.
This work requires energy and enthusiasm for the campaign a passion for work of Jones Valley Teaching Farm, self-direction and self-motivation, a high degree of professionalism, as well as strong writing, organizational, and communitcation skills.
