The Communications & Special Projects Manager will spearhead all of Growing Kings’ communication efforts, and serve as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the organization. In this role, s/he is responsible for the development and execution of our communication strategy. The Communications & Special Projects Manager will implement a comprehensive plan to directly manage projects and activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization’s brand reputation. S/he is also responsible for the development and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the
organization and its leadership. This individual will be an ambassador for the organization and will need to build relationships with the media. The goal is to advance the organization’s position with relevant constituents, as well as to drive broader awareness and donor support for the organization.
The Communications & Special Projects Manager will proactively manage the organization’s website and all social media channels. To accomplish this task, s/he will research industry trends and areas of opportunity to ensure the organization’s continued relevance and leadership in online and social media communications. Additionally, the individual in this position will work closely with the Executive Director to research ideas, develop content, graphic designs, and storylines for all other print publications. S/he
will serve as communications counselor to Growing Kings’ leadership.
