The Learning Tree, Inc. 

The Learning Tree, Inc. has been providing behavior analysis services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in the state of Alabama for more than 30 years. Since beginning as a single group home, The Learning Tree has grown into an agency serving over 400 children and adults in Alabama. Our programs include early intervention preschools, residential programs, education services, and school consultation. The Learning Tree has opportunities for Behavior Analyst for consultation services based in Birmingham, Mobile, Montgomery, Huntsville, and Anniston.

Consultation and Outreach Behavior Analyst

Our consultation and outreach services focus on increasing skills and reducing barriers (including maladaptive behaviors) in local school environments. The consultation program serves a variety of school aged students with intellectual disabilities in school systems across Alabama.  Consultant behavior analyst responsibilities include:

  • Conducting behavioral assessments
  • Developing acquisition and reduction programs
  • Implementing acquisition and reduction programs
  • Training school personnel members on behavioral programs
  • Monitoring the implementation of behavioral programming
  • Conducting general trainings related to behavior analysis procedures and services to school systems as needed
  • Maintaining all necessary documentation

 

Qualifications: Minimum of Master's degree in Psychology or Education, certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst required; minimum of one year's experience preferred
