This position assists the Director of Development & Marketing in managing the receipt, recording, and acknowledgement of donor gifts, and in implementing the agency marketing plan. This position also supports the CEO with Board and Board Committee responsibilities. This is a part time position based in Birmingham, AL.
High School diploma or GED equivalent, bachelor’s degree a plus. Minimum two years experience in development, marketing, or communications. Excellent communication and writing skills. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, data entry, and Mail Merge. Ability to work with a team while evidencing ability to think critically; ability to plan and carry independent work when directed. Good problem solving skills; ability to respond calmly and non-judgmentally to others, including persons in crisis. Ability to demonstrate cultural and socioeconomic proficiency. Understanding of trauma informed care. Must have reliable automobile, valid AL driver’s license and liability insurance with bodily injury limits of 100/300, and good driving record. Must undergo clearance with the Alabama Central Registry on Child Abuse and Neglect, and/or other clearances that may be legally mandated or authorized.
