Personal skills: Leadership, self-motivated, and capable of creating and stewarding professional relationships. Must be able to work with a team and delegate responsibilities when needed.

Computer skills: Experienced working in Excel, Photoshop (or other creative editing software) or Publisher, Word, and able to quickly learn and use CRM database.

Development: Soliciting sponsorships, donations, and business investors.

Develop new sources of income and new fundraising opportunities

Open new geographic areas for fundraising opportunities

Cultivating new investors for SDA- individuals and business

Work with SDA Grant writer to locate new opportunities for Grants

Managing Go Fund Me accounts with staff

  1. Help create the stories and collect possible photographs
  2. Direct staff how to help you
  3. Research areas/ businesses to call for fundraising
  4. Create relevant follow-up materials for Veterans or children
  5. Schedule or pass on information to Veteran or child’s family to meeting with business

Event Coordinator as it pertains to development of new funding: Creating, managing, participating in events when needed

In state travel- day trips.

Marketing skills pertaining to Development: Creating documents and support materials, research and writing press releases and articles plus media distribution and follow-up

Collect info and photos for Newsletter, design, and publish (monthly). Template provided.

Creating invitations and support materials for a variety of needs (when needed) including Fundraising Lunches and Dinners, Sporting Day, Graduation, and other events.

Creating and implementing Donor programs such as the annual fund, Legacy giving, capitol campaigns, holiday giving mailings, etc.
