Equality Alabama is seeking an experienced Field Director to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s grassroots organizing and public education efforts. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Field Director will develop a comprehensive plan to engage and mobilize LGBTQ Alabamians and allies on the organization’s key priorities, including protecting our victories, advancing transgender equality, and banning conversion therapy.

This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with experience in grassroots field organizing, volunteer recruitment and management, civic engagement, donor development, and coalition building. The ideal candidate will work to build and maintain relationships with community partners and demonstrate an ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about LGBTQ issues in Alabama, gain community organizing and campaign experience, and participate in winning grassroots campaigns to advance LGBTQ equality and improve the lives of LGBTQ Alabamians and their families.
