Job Title:       Higher Education Program Manager                                         

Location:       Florence, AL            

Status:           Full-time

Schedule:      Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, fluctuating schedule, some evenings      

FLSA:             Exempt


Job Summary

The Scholarship Home Manager works closely with the Regional Director to ensure that a wide range of services related to the academic success, personal growth and development of students are properly provided.  The Scholarship Home Manager is responsible for the oversight and delivery of care and services provided to students that maintain the best possible physical, emotional, social, spiritual and educational outcomes. This person is responsible for ensuring that contract specifications and Department of Human Resources (DHR) minimum standards are consistently met.


Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.  Preferred areas of study include, but are not limited to:    Social Work, Psychology, Counseling and Education. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited college or university required. Alabama Social Work licensure (LBSW, LMSW or LICSW) OR Alabama Counseling Licensure (LPC) or Marriage & Family Therapy Licensure (LMFT) or Alabama Psychology licensure preferred.  Three (3) years paid experience working in a therapeutic environment required.  One (1) year of paid supervisory experience required. Previous paid experience working with families, children and/or adolescents preferred OR previous work experience in a residence life/housing facility at a college or university preferred. Previous paid experience working as an academic advisor or position responsible for the academic oversight of students preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Ability to be on-call for emergency situations required. Proficiency in computer use and understanding of basic word processing and spreadsheet software required.  Using the English language must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills that allow for professional interaction with families, staff, stakeholders and the general public. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality as situations dictate.

Must have a valid driver license from state of residence. Must have reliable transportation, proof of automobile liability insurance and driving record that will allow coverage on Agency’s insurance policy required.
