Job Title:  Program Services Coordinator

Reports to:  Executive Director

Classification:  Full-Time

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Program Services Coordinator is a full-time staff member who reports to and supports the Executive Director.  The Program Services Coordinator must be a proven self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize a wide variety of outreach tasks.  The Program Services Coordinator assists the Executive Director with fundraising and grant writing.

 

BASIC JOB FUNCTION:  Reporting to the Executive Director, this position’s primary responsibilities are to build strategic relationships, oversee all programs, conduct a variety of outreach activities to include recruiting program participants, developing projects, analyzing administrative workflow for program, maintaining databases, and managing internal and external program relations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and manages relationships with public and private referral and service agencies
  • Strategically recruits potential residents and referral agencies
  • Assists with the development of public relations and communications strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness
  • Provides an annual summary report of the program’s status, utilization, accomplishments and planned future direction to the Executive Director
  • Maintains updated files on all program completions and alumni for up to two years, gathering testimonials and statistical information on sobriety
  • Coordinate resident group programs, alumni programs, continuing education programs and contributes to organizational events
  • Assists with in-services monthly
  • Communicates with alumni to increase participation and gifts to FOCUS
  • Works with the staff to develop objective performance measurements to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all FOCUS programs
  • Networks with other coordinator, agencies, and organizations to share information and to gain knowledge that would help improve the program
  • Utilizes available social media resources and websites in an efficient way to help enhance the residency program
  • Assist with after hours supervision by being on-call for emergencies
  • Ensure each shift is covered by at least one staff person on the premises, which may mean working the occasional weekend and/or holiday
  • Recruits and oversees training and orientation of volunteers
  • Performs other duties as deemed appropriate and necessary by the Executive Director
  • Observes all rules of confidentiality regarding current and past clients

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred
  • Alcohol and Drug Recovery experience; Alabama State certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling is a plus
  • At least five (5) years working experience; previous project management experience preferred with experience working in a high-performance, collaborative group
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for FOCUS On Recovery’s mission
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint); website management, and social media a plus
