Description

Assist students in Kindergarten through 8th grade in a classroom setting with the completion and comprehension of academic enrichment activities. Review and prepares lesson plans to instruct students and reinforce skills. Evaluates and monitors student’s performance. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
1. Attends all required training and orientation meetings.
2. Prepares creative and enriching lesson plans and instructs children.
3. Utilizes material/curriculum provided by BREAD Center to carry out daily lesson plans and weekly themes.
4. Participates and supervises during all field trips.
5. Evaluates and monitors student's performance.
6. Assist in implementing the daily program.
7. Assist in planning, organizing and implementing the enrichment and tutorial activities for assigned class (grade).
8. Minimum of two years of college and/or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
9. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
10. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
11. Performs a variety of tasks.
12. Works under general supervision; typically reports to the Education Coordinator.
13. Supervises all assigned aspects of the students’ day including arrival, snack times, academic, and enrichment activities and recreational activities.
14. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
15. Set a good example for students and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sportsmanship, manners, and sharing in clean-up duties.
16. Instructs students in emergency procedures including fire and tornado drills.
