The Therapist provides mental health counseling with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity/prevention/intervention work. The incumbent will need to be energetic to work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. They will provide services to the adolescent female population by counsel, support, and consult in regards to psychological, social, and emotional well-being, along with enhancing the residents' personal growth, development, and adjustment based on each individual treatment plan. They will collaborate with staff from Beacon House, Department of Human Resources, Juvenile Probation Offices, and community service agencies in developing, implementing, and evaluating the residents’ needs and concerns. They will need exceptional time management and are expected to participate in professional development activities and trainings. They will provide crisis intervention and assessments, when necessary; including night and weekend on-call duties. This position is located in Jasper, AL.

Master's degree in Counseling or Master’s degree in Social Work; Licensed as a LPC or LMSW

Any additional certifications in specialized areas of practice, experience in providing assessments, and/or crisis intervention - preferred.
